Just watch this series and I think it is great:-) . Wonder if anyone else has watch it?
It is really funny and yet sweet at the same time. Sort of reminded me of Full House.:D

Synopsis:
"Sassy Girl, Chun-hyang” is the 2005 interpretation of the “Legend of Chun-hyang.” The story begins when Lee Mong-ryong is transferred from Seoul to a high school in Namwon, North Jeolla Province. Chun-hyang does her best to help Mong-ryong, her first love and the son of the Namwon Police Station chief, to enter a prestigious university. However, after meeting with Mong-ryong’s first love, Chae-rin, Mong-ryong’s love toward Chun-hyang is shattered, although Chun-hyang’s love remains unwavering.
One day, Byeon Hak-do, CEO of a famous entertainment company, appears in her life. He exudes confidence that he can make any woman fall for him.
But as Chun-hyang shows no interest in him, his self-esteem is damaged profoundly. Byeon Hak-do is determined to make her love him.
The production team of this drama says they wanted to present a whole new image of Chun-hyang in line with modern times as she is an attractive female character who showed courage in choosing her love in the Joseon period, when Confucianism was a dominant value.

My friend has been bugging me to watch this for the longest time. I finally have it, but it's still on my shelf... sadly, no time to watch :oops: Before you, my friend was the only person I heard who found this drama good, so now I'm more convinced I should watch it. I hope I can do so soon!

I highly recommend watching this drama. Although the male actor isn't the greatest looking korean celebrity out there, the plot compensates. This drama is a lot similiar to Full House but there are some differences. I really liked one of the soundtracks from this drama; I think it was the song As One sang. The drama didn't seem draggy either. It is a must watch!

Lene, Watch it!! Hopeful you can find the time to watch it. It is really good. But as all Korean drama goes,there are some parts that are a drag. But hey that what the forward button is for.:whistle:

Sweet, I still find some parts a drag. It must be me.:oops: But on the whole, it is definitely a lot much faster pace compare to most Korean drama. In fact, I was lost at some parts as I was doing other stuffs and have to re-watch it:tongue: . And the male leading actor isn’t really ugly. At least I found him cute, especially when he smiled. :brows:

Anyway, I think this drama is under rated by most people. Mainly because it does not have super popular stars to attract others' attention. At least that is how I felt.

I've just only finish watching this show!! haha. it's quite a nice show. But the last few shows kind of saddening. The girl is very pitiful but is happy ending in the end. I hate that Uncle, who fell in love with the girl. He's kind of bad in the show. However, he turned out to be a good man in the last part. Lols. If you haven watch it, you should go and watch it!

at the start i do feel that it is similar to Full house but at the later part i think that there's some differences here and there!:rolleyes:

and i find the guy (jae hee) quite charming when he smile!:-)

some of the scenes are really touching and sweet. i love the part when they are on the bus, he was sitting behind the girl... and the girl was dozing off... just then his palm stretched to the front and let the girl's head rest on it... so sweet!!!

i would strongly recommend this show!!! a nice one!!!:wink2:

i just re-watched this with english subs. this is one of my favorite romantic comedies.

this drama made a Jae Hee fan out of me. his character was so mischievous and funny :D does anyone think he resembles Jay in some angles? ^^;

Han Chae Young is really lovely in this drama,unlike in Only You,
where her character and her performance are both lackluster.
This is a good laugh,has lots of hilarious scenes and the characters are naughty.
I've seen the movie Chunhyang and it was great! :thumbsup:
And this 2005 drama is the twisted and funny version of the legendary tale. :laughing:
It's worth watching,also reminds me of Sweet 18,
which is equally good and entertaining as well. :shiny:

Oh yah, it's recommended to watch this show before watching My Girl (which's also a great drama!)

Well, I'm speechless... this is the first ever Korean drama I've ever watched and it was awesome!

I stopped by my friend's house at like 3-4 A.M. and he had it on and I became instantly hooked on the drama. Unfortunately I watched an episode on the 6th disc so I had to start back at disc 1, knowing what will happen. Nonetheless, once I started, I did not stop.

Highly recommended!

The lead actress, Han Chae Young is way too cute in this series. At first I thought she wasn't that good looking.. but her smile and happy personality (When she isn't all two-faced towards the end and sad) is so cute! I saw pictures of her outside the drama e.g. at events or in public and she didn't look that great either .. I guess the stylists in this particular drama did a spectacular job on her.

Lastly, what I found absolutely hilarious is the fighting scenes. Jeez, does every Korean person know some form of martial arts?

currently watching this drama :-) sooooooooooooo funny!!:D :D i luv it to bits!!!!! sure there are some bits which are abit boring and ur yelling at the characters coz its so cliche (but i think the more u watch of these dramas the more newer ones will seem cliche neway) but i HIGHLY recommend it!! it rates on my top 3 of krn dramas~ luuuvv ep 16 when they parody im sorry i love you and full house :happy: sooo funny! u'd haf 2 had seen those other 2 dramas to get it

LOVE his facial expressions. and at first i didnt think chun-hyang wuz that pretty (prob coz of her hairstyle) but she is quite pretty. they make a really good couple.. cept its annoying that she hasnt told him she's liked him yet!! HURRY UP :oops:

I thought this movie dragged a bit too long. I didn't watch like episodes 9-13, but still thought the drama was good to watch. The interaction between mong ryong and chun hyang are so cute and funny.

Ehh, Byun really took over for Chae-rin in the "omfg grrr hate you" kind of actions - but was actually kind of great at the end. Chun-hyang's "I love you but can't tell you" was frustrating and dragged on a little bit too long - and it left Myun-ryong pretty far out there. Ehh, I was surprised they did the Sassy Girl *year's later* thing, but it worked out as it gave everyone time to mature.

Overall, my second favorite Korean Drama - I just loved it for it's great storyline and moving scenes. Myun-ryong is so cool, but when he figures out what he wants, he can be so romantic. Just awesome. And the Dad is such an amazing guy - his relationship with Myun-ryong and Chun-hyang give great perspective to the story. Byun and Chae-rin were both annoying at parts, but still understandable. I felt that they dropped off the Chae-rin part, but by making her enganged, they shut off the chance of her and Byun getting together (which is great to see someone feeling sad at the end - everything doesn't always work out). I also feel that Chun-hyang's mother was just dropped completely - after the "stolen money" part, she disappears entirely from the storyline.

It's my second favority Korean drama - again :D - with a rating of 9/10 !

YAY OKAY I decided to rake up this thread in memory of ice_sylph :D

Oh I loved this drama, but I always skipped the last bit because I wanted to get on with the next disc. But I saw a few, & it was really hilarious. Gee I really hated that bad guy, can't remember his real name, but just that Chun-Hyang kept calling him "Ahjuhshi" [Sorry I don't know how to spell it.]

He's such an evil bum! But anyway, I preferred the time when they were in school. It's quite new that they proceeded onto their adult life, but I've always though highschool love stories are sweeter ^^

this story is one of my fave, was not able to watch the original if im not mistaken, although i know it's quite different, but i love chunyang very cute and so as Lee Mong-ryong i believe his name in english in the drama is marvin. really nice story i cried all in all thumbs up..on eof the best for me.. so cute..
