Looks like Jay Chou wasn’t kidding when he said he wanted to try out hosting. It’s been confirmed that he will host a new show for CtiTV to be aired during primetime (6 p.m) on Saturdays. The 90-minute program will begin taping in September, and it is said to be somewhat like popular Japanese show “SMAP x SMAP”. He will cohost with his friend/dancer Ice Cream (雪糕), Xiao Mai (小麥), stylist Du Guo Zhang (杜國璋) and actress Eri Otoguro (乙黑繪理), who previously appeared in a music video for The Drifters.

Who comes to mind when we mention the Most Influential Personality?
President Obama? Bill Gates? Steve Jobs? Yao Ming?
How about entertainers Jay Chou and Jolin Tsai?
A recent poll by Taiwanese publication TVBS Weekly placed Jay and Jolin at the 7th and 12th spots respectively.
Over 1,734 members of the public were polled and the top two spots for Most Influential Personalities went to President Ma Ying-jeou and tycoon Terry Gou Tai-ming.
Jay and Jolin are the highest ranked celebrities in the poll.

The star’s mother is said to have placed an order on a condominium unit
Following reports of Jay Chou's hefty purchase of a large apartment in Taipei, his mother, Ye Hui Mei, is said to be looking into buying another apartment in Danshuei.
Jay reportedly splurged TWD300m (S$12.2m) on a prestigious condominium in Taipei last year and his mother recently bought another condominium at a different location.
According to reports, Ye visited the site at Danshuei with friends and has already purchased a TWD24m (S$1.2m) apartment.
Jay is currently living with Ye in a condominium in Taipei and the news of Ye's purchase suggest that mother and son might be planning on living separately.
